
Cancellation and Rescheduling Policy
Fluid Adventures cancellation and rescheduling policy. Flexible options including our Weather Flex guarantee for weather-related changes.
Standard experiences (hires, courses and day trips)
Bookings made more than 14 days in advance require a deposit to secure the booking. Deposits must be paid within 14 days of the booking being created. If the deposit is not received within this time, we reserve the right to cancel the booking. The remaining balance is due 14 days before the booking date. If the balance is not paid by the due date, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and apply the cancellation terms below. Bookings made within 14 days of the booking date require full payment at the time of booking.
Expeditions and holidays
Full payment is due 30 days before the start date. If payment is not received by the due date, we reserve the right to treat the booking as cancelled and apply the cancellation terms below.
Customer Cancellations and Changes
All cancellation periods are calculated from the start date of the booking. Our time frames for issuing refunds are as follows:
Standard experiences (hires, courses and day trips) - If you cancel your booking:
- More than 14 days before the booking: A full refund will be provided
- Between 14 and 7 days before the booking: A credit voucher will be issued for the full value of the booking. Vouchers are non-refundable and must be used within 12 months of the original booking date.
- Less than 7 days before the booking: No refund or credit will be given.
Expeditions and holidays - If you cancel your booking:
- More than 30 days before the start date: A full refund will be provided
- Between 30 and 14 days before the start date: A credit voucher will be issued for the full value of the booking. Vouchers are non-refundable and must be used within 12 months of the original start date.
- Less than 14 days before the start date: No refund or credit will be given
Operational cancellation (within our control)
If we cancel due to operational reasons within our control, we will offer either a full refund or a credit voucher to the full value of the booking.
Weather or safety cancellation
If we cancel due to weather, safety concerns, or conditions that make it unsafe or unsuitable to operate, we will endeavour to offer an alternative activity on the same day (where practical), or a rescheduled date.
If rescheduling is not possible or not suitable, we will offer a credit voucher to the full value of the booking.
If neither an alternative, nor a voucher is suitable, a refund will be provided.
Safety decisions are made at the discretion of Fluid Adventures Ltd.
Weather Flex Upgrade (£5 per booking)
Weather Flex is an optional upgrade that allows you to reschedule your booking due to weather preferences, even where Fluid Adventures is operating and considers conditions safe to run.This is designed for “we could go ahead, but I’d rather not” days.
Weather Flex is a reschedule option, not a cancellation.
Our Weather Flex upgrade:
- Can be used up to the day of the experience (inclusive)
- Allows one date transfer per booking
- Does not entitle you to a refund - please refer to our cancellation time-frames above
- Must be used within 12 months of the original booking date
- Is subject to availability
Weather Flex must be purchased either at the time of booking or via an official follow-up offer issued by Fluid Adventures prior to the experience date. It cannot be added once the experience date has passed.
Weather Flex upgrades are not affected where Fluid Adventures cancels the session.
Hire Experience Terms
When booking a hire session, you confirm that:
- You are responsible for your own safety and decision-making on the water
- You are responsible for any members of your group who are under 18 or less experienced
- You have sufficient ability for the conditions on the day
We reserve the right to refuse or withdraw hire equipment if we believe a group is not suitably prepared or capable. Please note that Fluid Adventures Ltd does not operate a rescue service for hire customers.
