The British Canoeing 3 Star Sea Kayak course is aimed at those budding paddlers who want to apply their skills sea kayaking in a more dynamic environment. We follow the course content of the BC 3 Star Sea Kayak syllabus, putting specific emphasis on boat handling (especially turning), navigation skills and rescue skills.
We use a range of training locations for this course and may travel a bit to seek out the best locations for each day.
The BC 3 Star Sea Kayak course is aimed at those budding paddlers who fancy taking their skills into paddling Sea Kayaks.
We run this course in accordance with the British Canoeing syllabus, so please take a look at the BC 3 Star Sea Kayaking syllabus, training, and assessment notes which can be found here:

We use a range of training locations for this course; as well as refining skills in a sheltered environment we will also aim to spend time working in a small tidal race, plus experiencing some small surf as part of the course. We will also travel a bit to seek out the best locations for each day.
We run this course as a combined training and assessment scheme, if you’re not interested in being assessed, you can stick around for the assessment day and see how the flow of an assessment goes - you’ll also learn more skills!
