Join us for a beautifully quiet section of Basingstoke Canal amongst the trees, plants and wildlife. This canal is known for it's incredibly clean waters where fish can often be spotted swimming near your kayak.

This trip will start at the Mytchett Canal Canter where there is adequate parking and an easy launch point to get out on the water. From here we will choose our route for the tour taking into mind the weather, the group needs and the group skill.

We will find ourselves paddling down the crystal-clear waters of the canal immersing ourselves in the amazing scenery and wildlife of the area. There is lots of wildlife to look out or such as water vole and wild birds (grebes, ducks, herons, etc)

Carrying on down the canal we will come across the Swan Pub where we can get out for a short break with a leg stretch and possibly a break for a reassessment.

After getting back on we can carry on exploring on to the Ash Aqueduct, or start making our way back to the Canal Centre for a well deserved ice cream. Then reflect back on your little adventure down the canal.

For this trip we will use our single and double sea kayaks. These are stable craft and are designed for eating up the distance, this makes us able to paddle around 10km as a round trip.

Please note: If the conditions on the day mean that the planned route is unsuitable then we will do our best to try and get you on the water, this may mean changes to the advertised itinerary
